Two journalists injured as Israeli police break up Jerusalem protest

New York, July 20, 2017–Israeli authorities should ensure that journalists can cover protests and unrest safely, the Committee to Protect Journalists said today. Palestinian security forces arrest TV journalist in West Bank

Beirut, July 10, 2017–The Committee to Protect Journalists is concerned by the arrest of TV journalist Ahmad Fathi al-Khatib. Palestinian intelligence officers arrested al-Khatib, a cameraman for news channel Al-Aqsa TV, from his home in Beitunia, just west of Ramallah, on July 1, according to his employer and news reports.

Palestinian Authority censors at least 11 news websites

New York, June 21, 2017–The Palestinian Authority should cease blocking access to news websites in the West Bank, the Committee to Protect Journalists said today. The Palestinian Authority’s attorney general, Ahmad Barrak, on June 15 ordered internet service providers to block access to at least 11 news websites, according to news reports.
