Aliya Iftikhar is CPJ’s Senior Asia Researcher. Prior to joining CPJ, Iftikhar was a research assistant at the Middle East Institute and interned at the U.S. Department of State. She has worked with Amnesty International and written for Vice News.

Elana Beiser is editorial director of the Committee to Protect Journalists. She previously worked as an editor for Dow Jones Newswires and The Wall Street Journal in New York, London, Brussels, Singapore, and Hong Kong.

Rebecca Redelmeier is CPJ’s the digital engagement associate. Previously, she developed reports and data stories about how online audiences engage with content for NewsWhip, and worked as a reporter for Daily Maverick in South Africa.

Madeline Earp is a consultant technology editor for CPJ. She has edited digital security and rights research for projects including five editions of Freedom House’s Freedom on the Net report, and is a former CPJ Asia researcher.
