Koazo was arrested in October 1990 following a meeting held in Bangui calling for a national conference to discuss multiparty democracy. His arrest was part of a crackdown on members of the CCCN, to which he belongs. Koazo was charged with threatening state security and membership in an unauthorized organization. He has not yet gone to trial.
