Ndikumana, a journalist with the government- controlled Agence Burundaise de Presse (ABP), was arrested by Army soldiers in November 1991 at his home in Bujumbura. He was one of several people detained following an armed attack against the government. A local human rights organization has been unable to locate Ndikumana. It is feared that he has been tortured or executed.
