hree plainclothes operatives of the State Security Service (SSS) arrested Alumona, editor of TheNEWS magazine, on the premises of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), located on Victoria Island, Lagos.
A female member of the security team approached Alumona and escorted him out of the NTA offices. Her colleagues then placed him in one of two waiting vehicles and drove him to the State Security Services detention camp in Abuja.
Alumona was released on December 31.
