Suazo, correspondent for Tegucigalpa-based Radio HRN and
news presenter for Cablevisión del Atlántico, was shot as he was leaving his home,
according to news reports. Two unidentified assailants fired multiple times and
then fled on bicycles.
Suazo covered a variety of topics in the towns of San Juan
Pueblo and La Masica. He had been threatened in the past, the Tegucigalpa-based
daily El Heraldo reported, although the
nature of the threats was unclear.
