Nshimiryo, a director with the state-run TV Rwanda, was killed at his
home in Nyamirambo, Kigali, on the first day of the massacres. Soldiers
came to his home while he was entertaining guests, some of whom were
Tutsi. The soldiers attacked the guests, and Nshimiryo came to their
defense by showing the soldiers his press card. He was killed
immediately.
