Sah, an Antakya reporter for the far-left weekly magazine Kurtulus, was arrested and imprisoned as part of the state’s campaign of harassment against the magazine. Sah was tried under Article 169 of the Penal Code for allegedly aiding an outlawed organization. He was convicted and sentenced on April 16, 1996, to three years and nine months in prison and confined to Nevsehir Prison.CPJ is continuing its investigation to verify reports that Sah has been released from prison.
