Carrasco, owner of Radio Sensacion, was arrested on December 2, 1993. A lower court found Carrasco innocent of charges of terrorism. But under anti-terrorism legislation, his case was referred to a higher court, where the anonymous judge sentenced him on May 12, 1994, to 30 years in prison. Carrasco is being held in the Picsi prison near Chiclayo.
