Yantuche, a reporter with the cable television news program "TV Noticias," was shot and lay in a coma for a week in a Mixco hospital before dying on April 11. A week after his assassination, the director of "TV Noticias," Oscar Mazaya, reported receiving anonymous death threats.Motive Unconfirmed: CPJ is investigating to determine whether the death was work-related.
