Dahmani, a reporter for the weekly tabloid Echourouk al-Arabi, was shot dead near her home in Baraki, a stronghold of Islamic fundamentalism in the south of Algiers. She was killed at a bus stop on her way to work. Dahmani was the sixth female journalist killed in Algeria in 1995.Medium: Print
