Sharifova, a reporter for Navidi Vakhsh, disappeared in the fall of 1993. The circumstances of her disappearance are unknown. It is believed that members of the People's Front have killed other staff journalists at Navidi Vakhsh.Motive Unconfirmed: CPJ is investigating to determine whether the death was work-related.
