Tunukovic, a freelance cameraman on retainer for BBC TV, was killed instantly after his vehicle was hit by a 40 mm anti-aircraft round fired from the top of a hill. He was traveling alone in an armored Land Rover in Travnik during the attack. It is believed that Bosnian Serbs fired the shell.
