The National High School Journalism Convention is a semiannual gathering of high school journalists and advisers co-sponsored by the Journalism Education Association and the National Scholastic Press Association..
Courtney will discuss journalist safety in the 21st century. The past three years have been the most dangerous ever for journalists according to the Committee to Protect Journalists, with record numbers imprisoned and killed for doing their jobs, and hundreds of others forced into exile. Why is this? What can we do about it?
