Sara Qudah
Sara Qudah is the Middle East and North Africa Regional Director for the Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ). A journalist and media development expert, she joined CPJ in 2025 from Internews, where she was the MENA program manager. Qudah began her career as a journalist in Jordan, working for various media outlets across the region before shifting to media development. She has led regional initiatives in inclusive journalism, media freedom, and information integrity; managed large-scale portfolios; supported fact-checking networks; and developed programs on digital security, platform accountability, and independent media resilience. An advocate for press freedom and access to information, she works with local and international stakeholders to improve journalist safety and media rights. She holds a degree in Media and Mass Communications, and is committed to diversity and social justice in journalism.
