Combatting Corruption in Closing Spaces: Implications for Governance

Committee to Protect Journalists and Freedom House is holding a session on “Combatting Corruption in Closing Spaces: Implications for Governance,” at the World Bank/IMF 2016 Annual Meetings Civil Society Policy Forum (CSPF). The event is scheduled for October 6, 2016, from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

This session will examine the suppression of journalists and civil society organizations (CSO) combating corruption and advocating for transparency and good governance. It will discuss how the World Bank’s mission and the new Sustainable Development Goals can be leveraged to keep the space for civil society and media from closing further.
