New York, April 10, 2020 –The Committee to Protect Journalists will release its report, “The Trump Administration and the Media,” on April 16, 2020.
The report, authored by former Washington Post Executive Editor Len Downie, Jr., with research from Stephanie Sugars, a reporter for the U.S. Press Freedom Tracker, examines the effects of U.S. President Donald Trump’s anti-press rhetoric as well as policies under his administration, including media access, warrantless searches of journalists at borders, and aggressive prosecutions of alleged leakers.
