New York, October 20, 2016–The Committee to Protect Journalists will release its annual report, “Getting Away With Murder – 2016 Global Impunity Index,” on October 27.
The index, published annually to mark the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes against Journalists on November 2, spotlights countries where journalists are murdered and their killers go unpunished. The report will be launched at the United Nations headquarters in New York ahead of a panel discussion on journalists’ safety and combatting impunity.
