CPJ to release list of 10 most censored countries

New York, April 14, 2015-The Committee to Protect Journalists’ list of the 10 Most Censored Countries will be released on April 21, 2015. The updated ranking of where the news media is most restricted is based on CPJ research into the use of repressive government tactics such as imprisonment, draconian laws, harassment of journalists, and restrictions on Internet access. The report includes profiles of the countries and their varied means of censorship.

The 10 Most Censored Countries report is part of CPJ’s annual publication, Attacks on the Press, which will be released in full on Monday, April 27, at 11 a.m. EST at a press conference at the United Nations headquarters in New York.
