IMPRISONED

Director Nadara, reporter Naleye and cameraman Osman of the Somali-language international broadcaster Universal Television were released without charge by a court in the capital Mogadishu, according to leading independent Radio Shabelle.

The journalists were arrested on the orders of a presidential aide after raising during an interview a question critical of the transitional government’s handling of the conflict in Mogadishu.
