Maha Masud

Maha Masud is the associate for CPJ’s Speak Justice: Voices against Impunity digital media campaign. She is also a multimedia producer for the Americas Society/Council of the Americas. She came to CPJ from Washington, DC, where she worked at the journalist education nonprofit National Press Foundation and the Institute of International Education. Masud also spent a year as an AmeriCorps VISTA, and has worked in Chile teaching English. She specializes in Web design and video production, and graduated from the University of Kansas with a bachelor’s degree in journalism.

Interactive Timeline: 12 months of impunity at a glance

In December 2012, the Committee to Protect Journalists and 27 partner organizations launched Speak Justice: Voices against Impunity as part of an international effort to seek justice for the hundreds of journalists who have been murdered around the world. Today, on International Day to End Impunity, we are taking a look back at what has happened over the last 12 months.
