New York, February 10, 2014–The Committee to Protect Journalists will launch Attacks on the Press: Journalism on the World’s Front Lines, a yearly assessment of the state of press freedom, on February 12.
The 2014 edition of Attacks contains analysis of the transnational threat to press freedom posed by mass surveillance and censorship. Other topics include impunity in journalist killings and the role of a strong, independent media in global development.
